Arocho Family // Covington Georgia Lifestyle Family Photography

I have had this blog post "half" ready to post for about a week now. Because of my perfectionist tendencies and wanting to write something meaningful and say something about each picture, I had not posted it....until now.

Enjoy the pictures without my incessant rambling for once.

SPRING!!!!!

Spring is upon us. My favorite season after Autumn. With everything beginning to bloom outside and sunnier warmer days coming up. . .I mean, just look at April's averages!
What better way to celebrate such great weather than offering a special? How does that sound?

Glad to hear that you agree. ;)

I am happy to offer a 25% discount to the first 25 people who book a portrait session with me. You can view what my portrait sessions include here.

I look forward to capturing the love between you and your loved ones.

Gap Toothed Grin

For any of you that may follow me on Twitter, you may already know that the night my son lost his first tooth was very emotional for me.

It had been loose for some time and Spencer had already tried to pull it once to no avail. So that night, I'm working in the office totally unaware of anything but what I am doing when all of a sudden Liam comes running in saying:

"Mommy LOOK!"

So I look over and see him grinning this big gap toothed grin at me and my first gut reaction was to quickly turn away from him so that he wouldn't see me break down in tears for such a silly reason.

Poor little punkin' was so confused at my reaction and thought he had done something wrong. His little mind couldn't comprehend what a huge milestone that this was in his life and that I was crying over one more step he had just taken farther from being my baby and more to being my little boy.

It took me a while to be able to take the following pictures marking this milestone but he was proud to show off his loss.

Here he is poking his little tongue out through the gap as he does all day long.

Showing off the gap in all it's glory.

WHAT. A. FACE! Can we say HAM! That's where the ham in my name went. Right to this little nut.

Love him in all his silly glory.

Our Trip from my iPhone

Our trip began with Liam and my in-laws dropping us off at the airport. Liam was not too thrilled with the idea of us leaving for so long.
Photobucket
Waiting on the tran on the way to our terminal after we had frantically switched around luggage so that both of our suitcases would be under 50 pounds. :P
Photobucket
Got a few cool shots of the hustle and bustle of the Hartsfield Airport even at 9 o'clock at night.

I would definitely recommend flying in to Vegas at night if you can. It's so interesting to see the pitch black of the desert and then the clear demarcation of where Vegas begins in lights.
Photobucket
Before you see anything else when you get off the plane, Vegas welcomes you with gambling. Would you expect any less?
Photobucket

Photobucket
Waiting for our luggage. There were huge screens playing advertisements for what seemed like every show in Vegas right behind the baggage carousels. Is it just me or did it seem to take longer to get your luggage so that they could inundate you with these videos?
Photobucket
I won't even go into our first night in Vegas right now as it is WAY too late. Suffice it to say, we spent the night on top of the mattress only in towels we had to buy from the hotel. Which reminds me, I still have a review to put up on VRBO's site. Hmmmm. . .

Our second night we were led to the Airhorns and Lasers party by Elvis. . .or should I say the ghost of Elvis as it would seem by my picture below.
Photobucket
The first hour was a bit slow and had us wondering about the appearance of any airhorns OR lasers but then it definitely picked up and Spencer and I had some fun on the dance floor.
Photobucket
And we chilled watching everyone else dance and enjoying each other's company too.
Photobucket
I don't really have any other iPhone shots of WPPI itself as I usually had a camera with me. On Thursday morning we got ready for our two flights that would take us to Dallas. By that evening, Spencer was zonked.
Photobucket
The next night, my brother-in-law, Wesley, and his wife, Emily, surprised us with a tickets to see Fiddler on the Roof. It was awesome and emotionally tumultuous.

Afterwards the four of us went to have a few drinks at a bar around the corner. . .Emily checked on what was going on in the social world and I propped my feet up.
Photobucket
And the Texas Longhorn kept a very watchful eye on the room to make sure everyone stayed in line.
Photobucket
On the way home on Sunday we met with some very cloudy skies on the plane ride into Memphis. It honestly looked like one big puffy blanket.
Photobucket
I had been craving a burger for a few days so we scoped out the Memphis airport and settled into the Sun Records Cafe for a quick bite as we waited to board the plane to home.
Photobucket
The last leg of our trip. On the tran to Baggage Claim. It was insane how many people were in the airport so late at night. Then again, it was a Sunday night.
Photobucket
Liam was asleep in one of the airport's wheelchairs when we arrived and I wish I had gotten a picture of his cute little self all curled up. I went to give him kisses to much protestation until he realized it was me and, in his sleepy stupor, he wrapped his little arms and legs around me like a monkey. I couldn't get enough of him so Spencer and my father-in-law went to get our suitcases as I just sat there and held him tight.

After we dropped my father-in-law and mother-in-law off at home, we were met with a surprise when we walked into our house. New kitchen flooring!!! An early anniversary gift. Gave our kitchen such a face-lift that it hasn't gotten over itself yet and constantly demands that I get the dustbuster out so as not to mar her beautiful newness.
Photobucket
I will have MUCH more to say about our amazing trip but I as yet have not recovered from our trip enough to completely digest all that I saw and heard.

Until then. . .

Corcoran Maternity // Covington Georgia Maternity Photography

Your dose of slideshow goodness. I truly wish that I had more time to post pictures up instead of just a slideshow but getting ready for a week long trip is CRAZY and I think I may have misplaced my brain.

You can't get much more gorgeous than this girl and being pregnant just adds to that glow. ;)

ENJOY!
