Totally Rad Eyegasms

Okay so I had to grace your eyes with a little more gorgeousness coming your way. The model shots I showed you last time were not edited much as there were showcasing the work of the wonderful makeup artist I was doing the pictures for.

THESE, however, I totally went wild and had fun with.

Not sure if you any of you remember me mentioning once or a million times before how in love I am with Totally Rad Actions by Doug Boutwell and it is in the top 5 best investments I have made towards my photography. . .yeah, well this won't be the last time I sing their praises either.

I don't really keep track of what actions I use on each but I have an idea, so if you are a photographer and are curious as to which actions I use the most and why, feel free to contact me.



All that I did on some of these is boost up the contrast on some of them with this kick butt action of Doug Boutwell's called Can-o-Whoopa$$. Yeah, he definitely has some unique names for his actions.

If you look REAL close at this next one you can see a little cameo of yours truly. :D



Something about this image reminds me of this one.





I know that there is an inordinate amount of images of Jennifer on here but, what can I say, she's my best friend and she's gorgeous. 'Nuff said. :P





I ran a cool and funky action called Pool Party on this one that gives it almost a seventies feel to it. I think it worked remarkably well with the turquoise makeup and dress.

I would have absolutely adored to have had my hair fixed like this for my wedding.

I would have had to have had extensions put in to make it look this fantabulous but. . .whatevah.

There is something so extraordinarily sexy about how her back in this image. How the image leads your eye to the curve of her lower back and how the chain just dangles. Scrumptious! I love it! :)

Can we say VA VA VOOM! 1940's Hollywood Glamour all up in your face!!!

Last but not least. . .

In the words of Captain Marvel, "SHAZAM!!" Another personal favorite of Jennifer. Hot stuff indeed.

By the way, if I can get some feedback on the way I have been posting the images of late. I used to have it where the images were centered in the middle of the page. That, however, involved uploading them directly to Blogger which took TWO BLOOMIN' AGES!!! No fun and then a lot of time, it would fail in the middle of uploading 5 images. Enough is enough, dontcha know? So I started using Photobucket and loved it but it kept causing my internet explorer to inexplicably close whenever I would go in to choose which images to upload. Now I have been using Flickr, but since my blogging has been on FIYAH I am about at my limit on it.

SO anyway, the purpose of that rambling explanation above is to say that by using Flickr and Photobucket, I am unable to center the images anymore. Is this an issue with anyone? Do you find it more visually pleasing to have them centered on the page? Please oh please let me know. I want to make sure that everything about my blog is user appreciated so I am constantly trying to improve the overall look and such. Thank you so much in advance for your feedback.

Crimson and Clover

This field of what I believe are red clovers is the bomb!!!!

The following pictures do not even do it justice since all I had with me was my little point & shoot camera. Nevertheless, on the way home from picking Liam up from after school care, I stopped, put on some tennis shoes with my denim skirt and said to Liam:

"Come on baby, let's go play."

He was uber excited to actually be allowed to run through this field as my dear child enjoys the simple things in life still.

And off he goes. . .

It wasn't long before he found a flower. . .

. . .that he quickly ran back to give me. I have a sweetheart for a son, no doubt.

Lord knows what he was telling me here so animatedly. I like to think he was showing me how much he loves me. :D

It's very difficult sometimes to get pictures of him where he's not talking (NO idea who that sounds like, nope not at all) so I work with what I can.



As we were walking back to the car, he was like, "Mommy, look at how TALL this grass is!"



And I'll end this post with my mostest favoritest shot of all.

The epitome of who my son is. Gorgeous, full of life, and almost always with a smile on his face. This is a freezeframe in time for me to always treasure close to my heart. I don't always take the time to enjoy the simple things with this dear little human. This image will be going on the wall to show exactly why I should more often.

Baby Shower Fun

The other week, I went to a dear friend's baby shower held at another good friend's house. I have to say it was the nicest baby shower I had ever been too.

She had this lovely sign at the door which I thought was the most tactful way to request no shoes in the house.

Following are some detail shots of the absolutely yummilicious hors d'oeuvres.






Makes me hungry just lookng at it. These jelly bean strings were awesome. They bought an insane amount of dental floss and then hand strung them. Seems a shame since they weren't touched.


These cupcakes had the most completely and totally awesome frosting on it that I have ever tasted. I believe it was buttercream icing mixed with strawberry puree.

I love these cute and simple decorations.

I think it's safe to say the guests were having a good time.


These were the beginnings of a pretty fun game that came later. I had only heard of it one time before. We were all asked to bring a baby picture of ourselves.


We also had two other games as well. One was trying to remember what the baby names were for all kinds of animals, harder than it seemed. The other was trying to match Bible parents with their offspring. Also more difficult than it seemed.

Then it was gift opening time.

Leslie had two helpers with the gifts. One was the guest of honor's niece, this adorable little girl. She was standing at the ready to hand off gifts and was as excited as if they were her own. I think she is looking forward to having a little cousin to play with.

This was a cool little gift. Perfect indulgences for her last days of pregnancy.

The grandmother-to-be thought she could hide from my lens by sitting next to me. Little did she know that I had a wide-angle lens.

I was so glad that I caught this adorable shot of the father-to-be's mother and her first grandchild.

And here are the three ladies most anxiously waiting Luke's arrival.

Taylea had asked me to take some images because she needed some new ones for her home. Her mother and sister had come all the way from Oklahoma for the shower so I made sure to get some wall-worthy images of the two of them.

Her sister is just as gorgeous as she is.

And lastly is this big guy was thrilled to pieces to be out of the garage finally once everyone cleared out.
