I neglected to post the exciting news that I had my first sale on my Etsy shop as of January 19, 2008. My little sea turtle photo has found a home in the home of Micu1983, a wonderfully kind woman from Sweden. I don’t think he could have found a better home for she seems to truly love sea turtles. She herself is also an amazing artist as you can see from her website www.micudesign.com where she has samples of her watercolours. Anyway, my wonderful father-in-law mailed it off to Sweden for me today. My sea turtle will always have a special place in my heart for being the first successful fruit of my creative Etsy labors. :)

This is my current mood….I started my free trial membership at Curves today and feel SO good because of it. After a year long absence from the gym with me constantly telling myself I WILL work out at home and after reaching an all time high weight of….well I won’t admit to that until I have lost some of it, I have faced the fact that if I am going to work out it will be with my tried and true method of over my lunch break. Although Curves is not one of those “all inclusive” gyms I like it because 1. No brains workout….go around the circuit twice and you’re done for the day. 2. I can go to ANY Curves not just the one near my work. So if I want to blow off steam one day when I am home….travel to the nearest Curves and viola!! At first I was a little off put by the fact that there were mainly old ladies there but then I thought how awesome that was since I would not be as self conscious around them.

I know I have a long road ahead of me and there are bound to be extremely discouraging times ahead but, even if I don’t lose a LOT of weight I know that this will be good for my overall mental well being. I want to be able to play with Liam in our big backyard without having to stop after 5 minutes. I want to take more walks with him at night around our neighborhood (those times are the best because he totally opens up to me then and I learn so much about him) without feeling exhausted after only ¼ of a mile. Heck, I would just like to just not be exhausted for no logical reason. So anyway, here goes nothing!!

Snow Days!!

SOOO!!! Oh my goodness, it ACTUALLY snowed in Georgia. TWICE!! I was so excited the first night it snowed that I could not stop smiling. I was like a giddy schoolgirl. On Wednesday when it snowed we all went out to the backyard to have a great snowball fight. It was all good until I accidentally hit Liam in the face with a snowball. He valiantly stuck it out and did not want to go inside yet but eventually succumbed to the cold. We made sure to strip him down out of his cold wet clothes and had him all set up with his dinosaurs and a heater. Good times. I know that some of the pictures are not too clear but I love how it captures the fun we were having. You can even see snowballs being thrown back & forth in some of them.

My sad little snowman.

Spencer and Liam having a blast in the snow.

Fun with snowball fights..before I hit Liam in the face...then I made sure just to aim for Spencer.

All Liam needed when he came in were dry clothes, a heater, and of course his DINOSAURS. His little sock hat has gotten too small for him as you can see by his bright red ears.

It snowed again on Saturday when Liam was in Macon with my parents but I didn't feel so bad when it didn't accumulate.

Daddy's Gift

One say recently, I went ot pick Liam up from Grandpa's house and he had two gifts for Spencer all wrapped up in newspaper with his name written on it. He and grandpa had gone to Goodwill and picked out toys for him and daddy. He apologized to me that there were no girl toys there but maybe next time.

30 Seconds of Fame

You know how many people always are looking for their 15 minutes of fame? Well I was just excited the other day to have my 30 seconds of fame when a necklace that I posted on Etsy was on the front page for the obligatory 30 seconds that your post shows up on the bottom of the home page. On the first row of small pictures, 4th picture in is mine.
