Stickerdoodle

I came across this picture in an e-mail that I had sent someone and it just made me happy to see it. Liam's expression is priceless. My sister Sara had just bought him these puffy car stickers and he took that opportunity to cover EVERYONE with stickers. I have to find the other photos where you can see even his arms and legs are covered.

My Love

I would like to take this moment to get all gushy. I love my husband very much. As tempermental and stubborn as I can be, he puts up with me and loves me more than I deserve most of the time. As our "honeymoon year" has ended we find ourselves still very much in love even as he has shown me more and more how stubborn he can be also but we mesh so well on so many matters for the most part. I have grown so much as a person since being married to him and I am so glad that I opened my heart to him. It's nice when you can find someone that you can be your absolute goofiest with (without feeling judged) and they love you all the more so for it. And also be your absolute b*t#hiest with and they put up with it and still love you.

Blast from the Past

So at this years District Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses held in Duluth, GA at the Gwinnett Civic Center I saw my sister's first childhood best friend who eventually became her mortal enemy. He has been happily married for some time now and now has 3 kids all under the age of 4 (YIKES!!). Liam and his oldest and his only son, Isaac are close in age and became fast friends. As I was taking pictures of them together, he and I were reminiscing about the many pictures we have of Sara and I and him and his two siblings (of whom, his baby sister was my first best friend) at numerous District Conventions in Birmingham, AL.

I absolutely LOVE the different expressions on the kids' faces in only a few seconds time.

I don't know how many of my friends know how much I truly HATE growing up. Remembering seeing Dustin at the convention really brings those feelings up. Since as long as I remember, I have hated the thought of growing up. At 13, when most kids are aching to grow up and accomplish so much, I KNEW I didn't want to grow up because all that meant was responsibility. :P Who wants that? I wasn't blinded by the glamour of grown up life. Reflecting on that now I can't dwell on the thought of Liam getting older because it puts me in a funk that I can't seem to extract myself from. I even called my mom the other night in tears apologizng to her for all the crap I put her through because I know it is coming for me. Like the wonderful, wise mother that she is she calmed me down and told me to just enjoy every moment as they come and not worry about so much before it gets here. {{sigh}} I still think that the perfect age is 7 though. The age when your parents are still "gods" in you eyes and your biggest problem is being sent to bed without dessert as a punishment (this was Mom and Dad's most effective punishment for me).

Swifferific

I would like to take a moment to sing the praises of Swiffer and the blessed person who invented them. I spilled some very sticky tea in the office kitchen earlier this week and thought I had gotten it all up initially but, as my co-worker and I discovered, did not quite get it all and thus left very sticky mess. Swiffer Sweeper wet got it up almost instantaneously. YAY Swiffer!!

The Most Important Day of the Year

I canNOT concentrate today at work so I am going to do some backtracking to catch up some of my friends in far away places and not so far away places.

So my very first post on here stated that one of the purposes of this blog was to rave about my four year old son...well I think you have waited long enough for that. He is the most gorgeous (as you will see from the pictures), sweetest, happy, energetic, and loving creature. The first set of pictures are of our happy little family at the Memorial of Jesus's death this year. We posed in front of our neighbor's tree. :) I thought it was ours at the time. The tie is adorably too big for Liam but for my wedding, I was trying like crazy to find a tie that matched Spencer's so a sweet and thoughtful girl at work saw this tie at Wal-Mart and bought it for him. These pictures were taken in May so I was still shaving my dear hubby's hair until I got my way in persuading him not to shave it anymore. He has gorgeous hair but is SO self conscious about that thing that happens to the majority of men's scalps.

Just for Baby

One of my best friends who is also my cousin through marriage just had a baby girl named Lilah Claire. As a gift I made her a name frame to hang in Lilah's room. I of course also made one for Lilah's big sister Alexis so she wouldn't feel left out. Alexis was so appreciative she wrote me a thank you note all by herself.

The name frames are incredibly easy to make and I LOVE making them. I just use my seemingly endless resource of scrap embellishments and I get a natural wood 12x12 frame from Michaels and hand paint it. I have made two others in the past for workmates of mine and they have been hugely successful at evoking smiles and tears from the moms-to-be. I can make them to any theme of your choosing. Let me know if they strike your fancy and I will be happy to custom make one for you. Contact me for prices. Price varies upon size.

Under the Sea

We had season passes to the Georgia Aquarium this past year and it was the best place to take my little 4 year old. He LOVES the place, especially the whale sharks. He now thinks that all things big are 30 feet long. These are two of the many shots that I took and altered.

Weddings

I have done more recent wedding work that I love but these have to be some of my all time favorites.

Eye Candy

I thought I would give you guys some more to look at from past photographic endeavors.

More Photos

Until I have the mental capacity to figure out how to use the slideshow on this thing, this is the only way I knew to show more pictures.

Photography

Alrighty, it's about time I put a new post on here since it has been over 10 days since I created this blog. I have not had the time to download pictures of some of my crafty creations but I am able to show all of you out there some examples of recent photographs I have taken. I am proud that although I do not get the chance to take pictures as much as I used to, I still have the touch. I guess it's just because I love it so much. I will eventually post some photos of my still life work for sale but my photography skills are also for hire for your personal needs. I hope that you enjoy what you see.

This is just the beginning

I have started this blog in order to showcase my creative endeavors and to offer those same finished products to anyone who is interested in adding it to their decor or personal collection for a small fee.

I have always enjoyed any kind of creative projects there are out there from drawing with pencil, photography, scrapbooking and making jewelry. I will soon be adding photos to this blog so that anyone can peruse them at their leisure.

I will also be posting little personal items and photos of friends and family in order for those I don't see all the time to be able to keep up with me - namely the adorable antics of my 4 year old son, Liam.

I hope you enjoy my contributions to this blog.
