Multi-tasking...it's a way of life

Ahhhhhh life.

My evening has been a sporadic amalgam of different activities and I find it amusing how they don't mesh but must. I sat on my laptop working on a new slideshow to put on my site while I watched the 2007 version of "Persuasion" put out by Masterpiece Theater on my husband's laptop on Youtube.

After that, I get out the two baskets of laundry that need to be folded, plug in my earphones to listen to a little episode of DaneSanders.TV as seen below:

Midway through listening to the tips about how to gear my mind towards making a business more productive to the point that I can maintain it doing what I love, I finish the laundry, pause the video and get out the vacuum cleaner. Then I put the vacuum away, start up the video and decide to do a little blog post about the randomness of it all.

Suffice it to say, I have a lot of work ahead of me, not to mention getting over the fear of being successful at what I do. Yeah, I'm messed up in the head.

Well, thank you ever so much for listening to the sometimes strange and random thoughts of Abra Michelle. For your patience, I will reward you with a lovely and much overdo sneak peek to a session I shot OH so long ago.

I promise I will get the rest of these up soon. :)

Stuff and Nonsense

Ever found yourself working on something and not even sure why?

The other night when I was aimlessly wandering the internet, I stumbled across this cute little advertising gimmick that Lay's has come up with here.

Webisode #11 is my favorite.

They also offer you the fun little time waster of creating your own avatar. I created several. This one is one of my favorites.

A little while back I discovered this amazing website called KevinandAmanda.com. This wonderful lady offers all kinds of little free goodies and kick butt fonts and so forth and so on. Among these fonts are incredible little doodles that people draw and submit for her to make them into fonts.

Yep, I am a sucker for fonts and doodles so I downloaded several sets of them...and wasted quite a bit of time playing with them as can be seen from the evidence below:
So what do these two things have to do with each other?

Well, I got into my head that I wanted to create a lovely little world for my cute little avatar. So this evening, instead of doing anything useful...I did this:
Needless to say I was unable to concentrate on anything actually worthwhile. What can I say, it was fun and I think it turned out rather cute.

The First Love of My Life-Covington GA Photography

I have scores and scores of pictures of Liam sleeping. You may ask why...there is no time a child looks more beautiful than when they are sleeping.
Can you blame me? My extraordinarily beautiful baby boy.

He turned six on Saturday and he was SOOO excited. Just like last year, he expected to shoot up a few inches as soon as he turned 6. I had to explain to him that there are 365 days between one birthday to the next and over the course of those days he has grown ALOT. Then I showed him on our little measuring wall. It is so cute how he needs things explained and visuals to truly get things.
It baffles me how this little profile looks exactly like it did in the sonogram image. Jehovah really knows what he's doing.
The personality of him is enough to make you laugh and cry at the simultaneously sometimes. Here he is showing his macho side...muscles and Hulk...
And these are some images I found from last school year. He got into his head that he wanted to make "fairy houses." This is the result.
How sweeeettt!!!!
A quick shot of the inside. Just a few details. The not quite fully grown pinecone is the seat with a leaf at the back and the twig is the coffee table.
One more shot...it's the same as above but with a little extra action love. How can I not showcase those lashes again?
